Employee Gift Matching Questions

What are employee matching gift programs?  Employee matching gift programs are corporate giving programs in which the company matches donations made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. It's an easy way to double your contribution as SHRED is a 501(c)(3) registered organization.

How do I request a matching gift?  Requesting a matching gift is normally a five-minute process which must be initiated by the donor. You can do this by filling out and submitting a paper or electronic match form provided by your employer.

What If I am not sure if my company does donation matching? Contact your company’s Human Resources Department, as gift matching is considered an employee benefit toward causes they care about. Or check the Charity Navigator’s search, which contains most larger corporations providing the benefit for their employees.
